Red Willow is a Tribal-owned energy company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, and production of oil and natural gas reserves.  Since our beginning, Red Willow has diversified its asset base beyond the reservation and now has reserves and production in the Gulf of Mexico, the Delaware Basin in West Texas and Jonah Field in the Green River Basin, Wyoming.

Onshore

Areas of operations and growth in the onshore division currently include the San Juan Basin, Delaware Basin, and several projects in the greater Rocky Mountain region.  Red Willow’s activity in the San Juan Basin is focused on the Southern Ute Indian Reservation located in Southwestern Colorado.  Production is primarily coalbed methane from the Fruitland Coal with some conventional production from the Mesa Verde, Pictured Cliffs, and Dakota Formations.  Red Willow operates approximately 700 wells and is a non-operating partner in approximately 900 wells.

Howard Facility, Red Willow Production Company

Red Willow’s assets in the Delaware Basin are located in Reeves and Pecos Counties, Texas.  Red Willow has a working interest in over 200 wells operated by partners Occidental Petroleum and Concho Resources, focused almost exclusively on the horizontal Wolfcamp Play.

Deepwater Gulf of Mexico

Red Willow ventured into the Deepwater Gulf Of Mexico in 2004 via a strategic exploration partnership with Houston Energy.  Red Willow and operating partners LLOG Exploration, Noble Energy, and Deep Gulf Energy have had tremendous success in the region.  Red Willow has ownership in 14 wells producing from 7 fields and another 8 new discoveries slated for first production over the next three years.  Red Willow continues to enhance its portfolio of exploration opportunities by acquiring new leases in semi-annual federal lease sales.  Exploration agreements are in place with partners in Green Canyon and Mississippi Canyon.  Red Willow continues to focus on relatively high chance factor prospects that are located near existing infrastructure.  This strategy results in quick cycle times from drill bit to first production and also results in high rates of return on investment.

Future Opportunities

Red Willow actively pursues both exploration and exploitation investment opportunities.  Outside sources, existing partnerships, and in-house professionals generate many of these opportunities.  We have a proven and experienced team that is capable of executing exploration and operations anywhere in the country.  Red Willow takes considerable pride in being a respected partner and works hard to maintain positive relationships in the industry and local communities.  The company plans to grow in areas that can continue to add value to the organization and its owners and meet the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.
